Maritime Security Advisory
The Maritime Security Advisory is an official message issued by our Flag Administration to inform shipowners, vessel masters, and company security officers about potential or imminent threats at sea, in littoral waters, or in specific ports.
The primary purpose of ADOMS’ Maritime Security Advisory is to:
- Inform our customers about current security risks, such as piracy, armed robbery, terrorism, illegal trafficking, or cyberattacks that are temporary;
- Offer guidance and recommended procedures for improving security and preventing threats;
- Recommend specific protective measures, which may include implementing measures equivalent to a certain Maritime Security (MARSEC) level, modifying a vessel’s route, or enhancing lookouts; and

Foster information exchange and cooperation between our customers and enforcement agencies.
